McCrory To Get Surgery

Dave Trembley announced today that right handed reliever Bob McCrory will undergo surgery on Friday to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder.

He's expected to be out of commission for about six months. That does make him questionable for spring trianing.

However, there was nothing guaranteeing McCrory would still be on the Orioles forty man roster when spring training comes around anyway.

McCrory clearly struggled since being recalled from AAA Norfolk on September 8th. He gave up four earned runs in two thirds of an inning pitched in his last outing in Cleveland on Sunday.

McCrory could become the first casualty in what is sure to be a total revamping of the bullpen in 2010.
