Despite struggles early on in the season, Matt Albers has stepped into a period of recent success on the mound. During a time when the O's bullpen has been taxed and overused, Albers has been a bright spot. Amber recently had a chance to talk with the reliever about the state of the O's 'pen and his role in it, before also touching on

Brain Roberts' first at bat in the big leagues since April 10th was forgettable. Back in the leadoff spot Friday night, he grounded out to second - pretty uneventful. Look closer. Jake Fox was recently acquired by the Orioles from the Oakland Athletics after being designated for assignment. Amber asked Jake if interim manager Juan Samuel has defined his role yet. Also, Jake said he's trying to find his swing and knows that if he hits he will get more playing time. Jake plays both corner infield and outfield positions. He can also be used

Though I was a bit surprised to see Ty Wigginton as the choice to represent the Orioles in this year's All-Star Game, I'm happy for him. For the record, Ty himself, as well as manager Juan Samuel both said they were surprised by the pick. I do admire the way Wigginton made a conscious decision not to mope when the O's signed Garrett Atkins
