The Anquan Boldin sweepstakes has kicked into high gear.
After multiple reports over the last half hour claimed that the Ravens and Patriots were the two teams heavily involved in negotiating a trade for the Cardinals wide receiver, the NFL Network is now reporting that New England has dropped out of the running.
That now apparently leaves the Ravens and Chiefs as the two most interested parties when it comes to a potential Boldin trade.
Arizona has reportedly dropped their demands to a third-round pick in return for Boldin, although it's possible that having three interested parties might have boosted that price a bit.
The Ravens have been eyeing Kevin Walter as well, but Boldin appears to be their top choice at this point.
If Baltimore fails to land Boldin, however, they almost certainly will have to make a serious play at Walter, who is an unrestricted free agent.
