The 2010 season starts to take shape

Happy schedule release day, everyone.

The day many of you have been eagerly anticipating for the last few weeks is here, and at 7 p.m. tonight, we will know how the Ravens' 2010 regular season schedule will look.

We already know who the opponents will be and where all the contests will be held, and if you need a refresher on either of those matters, I've got you covered.

Here is the list of teams the Ravens will see this upcoming season, with each squad's 2009 record in parentheses:

Home
Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7)
Cleveland Browns (5-11)
Cincinnati Bengals (10-6)
Buffalo Bills (6-10)
Miami Dolphins (7-9)
New Orleans Saints (13-3)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-13)
Denver Broncos (8-8)

Road
Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7)
Cleveland Browns (5-11)
Cincinnati Bengals (10-6)
New England Patriots (10-6)
New York Jets (9-7)
Atlanta Falcons (9-7)
Carolina Panthers (8-8)
Houston Texans (9-7)

I guess the major question going into tonight is whether the Ravens will face the Steelers within the first few games of the season. If they do, they almost certainly won't see Ben Roethlisberger in the Pittsburgh huddle.

The NBA and NHL playoffs are underway (how 'bout them Caps?), and baseball season is now in full swing. Pun intended.

But what a week it is for the NFL. Over the next five days, we get the schedule release and the three-day, primetime debut of the draft.

Should be lots of fun, folks.
