Brendon Ayanbadejo would probably be considered one of the tougher guys on the Ravens' roster.
That's why it's a little concerning when the Ravens' linebacker/special teams ace says that he's still in a good bit of pain seven months after suffering a torn quadriceps in his left leg.
Despite the pain, however, Ayanbadejo still expects to return for training camp in a couple months.

"I still have a lot of pain, an unusual amount of pain still, but with that being said I still get better every week," Ayanbadejo said at Ravens minicamps this weekend. "I think they're probably hoping I'd be further along than I am...but I still expect to be ready by training camp in August, and that's when they expected me to be ready."
The seven-year veteran said he planned to meet with his doctor in Birmingham, Alabama today, and he would get an update on how he's progressing.
The quad injury came at a bad time for Ayanbadejo last year, as he was just starting to work his way into extended playing time on defense as a nickel linebacker.
He was named the AFC's Defensive Player of the Week after the Ravens' Week 3 win over the Browns. Ayanbadejo posted 6 tackles, a sack and an interception against Cleveland.
The injury was especially frustrating because it was the only time in Ayanbadejo's entire football career that he suffered an injury that caused him to miss playing time.
"I played in 100 straight [NFL] games," Ayanbadejo said. "I never missed a game in college, high school, nothing. I never even missed a play until 2008 when I twisted my ankle.
"Never missed a game in my career, so the first game I missed was Week 5 of the NFL season last year, and I don't plan on missing any more."
