In a move that won't surprise anyone around the NFL, George Kokinis has re-joined the Ravens as a Senior Personnel Assistant.
Kokinis had previously worked for the Browns/Ravens franchise for 18 years and was the Ravens' director of pro personnel from 2003-2008, but left last year to become the Browns' general manager.
Things didn't go as planned in Cleveland, and Kokinis was fired in November after the Browns got off to a 1-7 start.
As many around the league expected since that move, Kokinis will now return to Baltimore, rejoining a front office that he knows well.
"It's good to have George back," Ravens general Manager Ozzie Newsome said in a statement. "He will help evaluate college and pro players, plus work with [vice president of football administration] Pat [Moriarty].
"George knows the game, understands what it takes to win, and he will help us find players who will help us win. He has done that before for us."
The Ravens also announced that pro scout Mark Azevedo has been promoted to area scout. He will focus on the Southeast, Southwest and Midwest.
