Michael Oher has received a good bit of attention over the last year.
When your childhood story is turned into a major motion picture, that will tend to happen.
Well, Oher's about to receive some more attention - from members of Congress.
The Ravens' left tackle will receive the Congressional Award Gold Medal in Washington, D.C. later this month.
Oher's particular award is the Horizon Award, which will honor his commitment to serving America's youth, specifically those in foster care.
The 23-year-old is a starting left tackle for an NFL team and has reached a decent level of celebrity, but that hasn't stopped him from taking his time to give back to those in need.
He'll get some hardware in return for his efforts during the ceremony on June 23.
