And the first Raven to report is...

I'm all set up in the lobby of the Best Western Westminster, and after a little quiet time, players are starting to roll in little by little.

The award for the first player to step foot inside the hotel this year goes to fifth-round defensive lineman Arthur Jones.

Jones said a few hellos, looked around with an "I have no idea where I need to go" look on his face, and cracked a big smile.

"It's like the first day of school," the rookie said.

The only veteran I've seen so far is safety Haruki Nakamura, who is reporting early because he is coming off a broken ankle/fibula.

One important piece of information I thought I'd pass along: While I will obviously be filing detailed reports right here every day, if you're looking for the most up-to-date information, I will be Tweeting from the practice fields (and today, from the hotel).

To get those instant updates, follow my Twitter account, @DanKolko.

I won't be Tweeting what happens every single play or making note every time a player gets a drink of water. That would bore you and drive me insane. (Both of which are motivating factors, although the "me going insane" part is what I'm most worried about.)

Instead, this will be a place for me to share quick-hit thoughts on big plays, trends, injury updates and breaking news.

More to come.
