Veteran cornerback Walt Harris, who agreed in principle to a one-year contract with the Ravens two weeks ago, is officially on board for the 2010 season.
Harris has passed his physical, finalizing his deal with the Ravens, the team announced today.
The physical is always an important step before a contract is made official, but it held extra significance for Harris. The 13-year veteran missed all of last year with a knee injury, so the Ravens wanted to be sure that he was in good health before the deal was complete.
Harris will compete with Travis Fisher, Cary Williams, and K.J. Gerard for a reserve spot in the Ravens' secondary.
The Ravens also announced that sixth-round offensive tackle Ramon Harewood has officially signed his three-year contract.
Harewood's deal was reported last week. The 6-6, 340 pound tackle will become the first NFL player from Barbados.
