O-line injury updates

Matt Birk has sat out all of camp to this point because of offseason elbow surgery, but the Ravens' starting center is nearly back on the field.

Birk said today that he's recovering well and expects to return to action soon, which is good, because he's starting to get tired of watching practice.

"The one thing I know is I'm not ready to go into coaching because I find it pretty boring to stand out there," Birk said with a smile. "But I'm getting close and working hard and just trying to support the guys."

The 13-year veteran didn't set an exact timetable for his return, but expects it to be in the next couple days.

"I'm going to see the doc today, but I'm feeling pretty good, so hopefully it'll be soon," he said.

Tackle Tony Moll's status is a little less clear. Harbaugh said today that Harbaugh has been sitting out of practice because of a concussion, and that the team will take it slow with him

"The symptoms have to clear up, obviously they'll always be very careful with that," Harbaugh said.
