Rapid-fire injury updates

Just out of the Ravens' locker room, I've got a bunch of injury updates after the final full practice of the week leading up to Saturday's game against the Giants.

Here they are, rapid-fire style:

Jameel McClain was held out of today's practice with some swelling in his knee, but he expects to play Saturday.

"He's fine," defensive coordinator Greg Mattison said. "He's just a little sore and we decided it'd be best for him to get a little bit more rest. But he's fine."

"I'm not the type to sit out of any game," McClain said. "I ain't sat out of no games for my whole career. It's going to have to be a major precaution for me to sit out."

After saying yesterday that he hoped to suit up against the Giants, tackle Oniel Cousins admitted today that he likely won't play on Saturday. Cousins has missed over a week of practices since suffering a concussion, and he is still dealing with some effects.

Wide receiver Demetrius Williams has missed this entire week of practices after spraining his ankle against the Redskins, but he hopes to line up on Saturday with the rest of the offense.

"It's much better," he said. "I'm hoping to play Saturday. I wanted to practice this week, but they felt like I would make it worse."

Defensive tackle Brandon McKinney returned to practice today after missing the last two days with some swelling in his right knee, and he said he expects to play on Saturday.

"I'm feeling pretty good," McKinney said. "Everything is going pretty good, got back out there today, moving well."

Wide receiver Eron Riley missed the last two days of practice with a lower back injury, but he also hopes to play vs. the G-Men.
