During this afternoon's special teams practice, cornerback Lardarius Webb, who is coming off a torn ACL, was doing some full-speed sprints from sideline to sideline.
I turned to a fellow reporter and questioned whether Webb could be taking part of the Ravens' conditioning test, which is given to players before they are cleared to take part in training camp practices.
Turns out, he was.
Webb looked to be moving well, and word is he could be activated off the Physically Unable to Perform list shortly, possibly as soon as tomorrow morning.
Head coach John Harbaugh said yesterday that the Ravens will take it slow with Webb, and he likely won't see any action in the team's remaining three preseason games.
But having Webb back on the field participating in team drills would be a major shot in the arm for a secondary decimated by injuries.
That shot in the arm could come within the next handful of hours.
