Webb not off PUP, but getting closer

Lardarius Webb was out on the practice fields at McDaniel College this morning, but the second-year cornerback still wasn't taking part in any team drills.

Webb remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list as training camp comes to a close today, but he's getting closer and closer to returning from a torn ACL which ended his rookie season prematurely.

"He's very close," head coach John Harbaugh said. "He's right there. That's up to the doctors to make the decision about when he practices, but he's right there and I know he wants to practice."

Webb took a part of the Ravens' conditioning test yesterday afternoon during special teams practice, and he appears to be running and cutting well recently.

But as has been said countless times before, Webb and the team will continue to take things slow as he tries to work his way back into action.

"It's coming along," Webb said today. "We're working real hard every day and hoping I can be back as soon as possible."
