Offensive tackle Jared Gaither hasn't practiced since August 5 because of a thoracic disc injury in his back, and he's already been ruled out of this Sunday's game against the Bengals.
But Gaither says that his rehab is coming along well and is continuing to work towards a return to the practice fields.
"I'm doing well," Gaither said today. "Pretty good. Recovering great."
Gaither said he's not doing any running yet, but he's been doing "a lot of different things" on a daily basis to try and get back into game shape.
"I'm just getting ready and making sure I'm sharp and focused and into the games," he said.
Asked whether he still feels any pain or stiffness in his back, the fourth-year tackle smiled and skirted the question.
"It's doing pretty good," Gaither said. "Right now, it's enough that I'm fighting through it as much as I can."
