The Ravens came out of the new Meadowlands Stadium with a win and without many serious bumps and bruises.
The only injury that the team reported was to tight end Todd Heap, who has a right shoulder strain. He had a bag of ice on the shoulder after the game, but told me he felt OK.
The injury occurred on Heap's 35-yard diving catch late in the fourth quarter which flipped field position in the Ravens' favor. He landed awkwardly on the Meadowlands turf after laying out to make the spectacular grab.
Heap will be re-evaluated later in the week.
Lardarius Webb was listed as probable coming into the game, but he was down as one of the Ravens' gameday inactives and thus did not suit up. The second-year cornerback did say he hopes to return to game action sometime soon.
"I'm real close," Webb said. "It was a coach's decision. It was a group decision, I should say, all of us. I would like to be here for a while so we're going to be careful."
Defensive tackle Terrence Cody missed tonight's game after undergoing minor knee surgery two weeks ago, but the big fella says he's making progress and expects to play next week against the Bengals.
"I probably should be ready," Cody said. "Yeah, I'm getting better."
