I mentioned yesterday that the Ravens don't plan on avoiding Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis on Monday night, saying that while Revis is a very talented player, they won't re-structure their offense just because of one defender.
The Jets like the sound of that strategy.
On a conference call with Baltimore reporters yesterday, Jets linebacker Bart Scott was asked if he thinks the Ravens will test out Revis to see if he's a little rusty after the two-time Pro Bowl corner missed all of training camp and the preseason because of a contract dispute.
"I hope they do," said Scott, matter-of-factly. "I just hope they do. I hope everybody tries him out. Then they can understand what we see, and what everybody who faced him last year saw."
As for how Revis looks after his lengthy holdout, Jets coach Rex Ryan sarcastically invited the Ravens to find out for themselves on Monday.
"I think he looks terrible," Ryan said. "They need to throw a bunch of balls over there to him."
Revis Island might have some visitors on Monday night, and the Jets appear to be fine with that.
