Wilson passes physical; corresponding move announced

A day after acquiring being acquired by the Ravens in a trade, cornerback Josh Wilson has passed his physical and was added to the team's 75-man roster.

To made room for Wilson, the Ravens announced that they have placed fullback Mike McLaughlin on Injured Reserve.

McLaughlin, an undrafted rookie of out Boston College, has missed the last few days of practice with a hip injury.

He played linebacker at BC, but made the transition to fullback this offseason after signing with the Ravens. McLaughlin showed flashes of talent, but was still attempting to learn the finer points of his new position.

Players on IR are able to remain around the team and use the facilities, but they cannot take part in practice. McLaughlin will have an opportunity to rehab throughout the season and get a better grasp of things from afar.

While Wilson is now officially a part of the Ravens, he likely will not play in tomorrow's preseason finale against the Rams.
