Not pretty, but effective - Ravens top Bucs 17-10

The Ravens had a 14-point lead over the Bucs at halftime and appeared to be well on their way to their eight win of the season.

In typical Ravens fashion, however, they didn't make it easy on themselves.

The Baltimore offense was stagnant in the second half and Tampa Bay, the NFL's comeback kids, got to within one score with a Kellen Winslow touchdown reception with just over three minutes left in the fourth quarter.

But the Ravens closed things out from there, milking the final few minutes off the clock and earning a 17-10 win over the Bucs.

Joe Flacco threw for 289 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, and he became the Ravens' all-time leader in passing touchdowns with his 65-yard bomb to tight end Todd Heap late in the first half.

Wide receiver Derrick Mason led the receiving attack with eight catches for 87 yards and a touchdown, Ray Rice chipped in with 85 yards on the ground, and the Baltimore defense stifled the Bucs' offense, allowing just 263 total yards.

FOX might not be thrilled that they decided to flex this semi-snoozer to the 4:15 p.m. slot, but the Ravens will gladly take the win, even though it wasn't exactly their prettiest of the season.

Baltimore improves to 8-3 with the win, and retains their spot atop the AFC North as they have the head-to-head tiebreaker with Pittsburgh, who is also 8-3.

You all know who's on the schedule next - the Ravens will host the Steelers next Sunday night with division supremacy on the line.
