The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported yesterday that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has a broken foot, which comes in contrast to the diagnosis that the team had released, which was that Roethlisberger's foot injury was a sprain.
The Steelers then released a statement saying that Roethlisberger merely aggravated a previous foot injury where scar tissue is present, and that it's not a new break.
Today, asked whether he wondered whether Big Ben would be able to play on a broken foot Sunday when the Steelers come to Baltimore, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh gave a stern reply.
"No. I don't wonder," Harbaugh said. "I don't think about it. I don't care."
Asked if he believed the report that Roethlisberger's foot was broken, Harbaugh replied: "I could care less. He's going to line up and play quarterback."
Harbaugh might not be willing to discuss Roethlisberger's injury through the media, but you can bet the Ravens have been monitoring the situation closely.
While the Steelers' quarterback will play on Sunday night, his mobility is sure to be affected at least slightly, and the Ravens certainly "care" about that.
