He might have lost the walking boot he was wearing over his sprained left ankle after the Buccaneers game on Sunday, but fullback Le'Ron McClain was still sporting a limp as he walked around the locker room today.
The two-time Pro Bowler had little to say about his injury status as the Ravens prepare to face the Steelers, but he did give a slight update on his health.
"I'm alright," McClain said.
Asked if he'll be able to play on Sunday against the Steelers, McClain replied: "I don't know."
The four-year veteran did say that he shouldn't be ruled out for the Steelers game.
Head coach John Harbaugh provided a little more information on McClain during his meeting with reporters.
"Le'Ron is a guy who's going to be day-to-day," Harbaugh said. "We think he's got a chance. I don't know what the percentages are. It's a tough ankle sprain, but he's played with those kind of things before, so we'll have to see."
The Ravens signed veteran fullback Jason McKie yesterday as insurance if McClain is unable to play on Sunday. I'll have thoughts from McKie in a bit.
