Stallworth inactive for Ravens, Ivory inactive for Saints

Donte' Stallworth won't get the opportunity to face his former team this afternoon.

The Ravens' wide receiver, who has been active for every game since returning from a broken foot six weeks ago, is inactive and will not play today against the Saints, who selected him in the first-round of the 2002 Draft.

The good news for the Ravens is that both fullback Le'Ron McClain and running back Willis McGahee are active today after being listed as questionable with illnesses.

One could infer that with Stallworth being deactivated, the Ravens will go with less of a spread out passing attack today against New Orleans, which has the fifth-best passing defense. They might be looking to go with more of a ground attack today, which I think would be a wise move.

Or, I could be completely wrong there. We'll have to wait and see.

Surprisingly, inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe is active today after being made a gameday inactive the last four weeks. The second-year man out of Georgia has made his way out of the doghouse and will play today.

The Saints will be without their top rusher on the season today, as Chris Ivory will not play because of a hamstring injury. Adjust your fantasy lineups accordingly.

New Orleans' carries will get handled by Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush with Ivory out.

Here's the Ravens' full list of inactives:

WR Donte' Stallworth, S Tom Zbikowski, FB Jason McKie, LB Jason Phillips, G/C Bryan Mattison, TE Todd Heap, NT Brandon McKinney, and DT Lamar Divens.

Here are the Saints' inactives:

WR Courtney Roby, S Usama Young, RB Chris Ivory, CB Patrick Robinson, LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar, DL Anthony Hargrove, T Charles Brown and TE David Thomas.

Back with more pregame notes in a bit.
