Ozzie Newsome has confirmed that Marshal Yanda and the Ravens have agreed to a multi-year deal. The Ravens can make the deal official Friday after the the 6 p.m. free agency deadline.
The Ravens didn't wait long after the lockout ended to lock up the right tackle, who did a great job filling in for the injured Jared Gaither last season.
The Ravens hope to move Yanda back to guard, his natural position, but the versatile third-round pick can remain at right tackle if the team needs him there.
This is an important move for the Ravens because of they have four unrestricted free agent offensive linemen on the market in Yanda, Gaither, Chris Chester and Tony Moll.
Update: The terms of Yanda's contract: Five years, $32 million.
