Todd Heap's return to Baltimore won't go exactly as he probably imagined it.
A hamstring injury will keep Heap out of today's game against the Ravens, marking the third straight game that Heap has missed.
It's too bad; it would have been cool to see Heap out on the field at M&T Bank Stadium again, and hear the "Heeeeeeeeeeeap" chants after he made a catch.
While Heap will sit out for the Cardinals, running back Beanie Wells is active and will play today. Wells has had a strong start to the season, recording 426 yards and six touchdowns through six games.
For the Ravens, cornerback Chris Carr will see his first game action since Week 3 against the Rams. Carr has been kept out by a lingering hamstring injury, but he was back practicing in full most of the week and finally appears fully healthy.
Yet again, Andre Gurode will start for Ben Grubbs at left guard and Torrey Smith will start in place of Lee Evans at wide receiver.
Breaking news there, I know.
Here are the Ravens' inactives: CB Chykie Brown, RB Anthony Allen, DB Danny Gorrer, ILB Dannell Ellerbe, G Ben Grubbs, WR Lee Evans, OLB Sergio Kindle.
The Cardinals inactives are: QB Richard Bartel, WR Stephen Williams, S Kerry Rhodes, LB Joey Porter, T D'Anthony Batiste, TE Todd Heap, DE Ronald Talley.
The Ravens are in purple jerseys and while pants today, while the Cardinals will sport their white and red jerseys and white pants.
