While the vast majority of the Ravens' roster was present at practice today, linebacker Ray Lewis was one guy who was not on the field during the portion of the session open to the media.
No injury to Lewis has been disclosed. The All-Pro linebacker spoke to the media today and didn't display any signs of a major injury.
Also absent today were defensive tackle Art Jones (head) and running back Anthony Allen (thigh).
The Ravens had to make a minor roster move today after fullback Ryan Mahaffey was taken off their practice squad and signed onto the Colts active roster.
To fill that open practice squad spot, the Ravens signed tight end Davon Drew, who was a fifth-round pick of the team back in 2009.
In other news, long snapper Morgan Cox has been voted as the Ravens' 2011 Ed Block Courage Award recipient.
Cox suffered severe ligament damage (including a torn ACL) in his knee during the second quarter of last season's Week 16 matchup with the Browns. Despite the injury and his inability to run or block at near full strength, Cox remained in the game, snapping on three punts, two field goals and two extra points.
The 2010 undrafted free agent rehabbed hard this offseason and returned in time for the start of this season.
One final note: The Ravens will induct kicker Matt Stover into their Ring of Honor during halftime of this Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Stover will become the fifth former Raven player to enter the Ring, joining RB Earnest Byner (2001), DE Michael McCrary (2004), LB Peter Boulware (2006) and LT Jonathan Ogden (2008).
