"Slim" is getting bumped up to the 53-man roster.
The Ravens have waived cornerback/kick returner Bryan McCann, and activated outside linebacker Chavis Williams - known as "Slim" around the locker room - from their practice squad.
Williams (6-3, 227-lbs.) is an undrafted free agent out of Alabama. He appeared in 33 career games for the Crimson Tide, producing 17 tackles in four seasons.
If you look at his height and weight, I'm guessing you can figure out how he got his nickname.
McCann, meanwhile, is let go just a month after he was signed by the Ravens. The two-year veteran was brought in when Baltimore was lacking depth both at corner and the punt and kick return spots due to injuries.
With cornerbacks Jimmy Smith and Chris Carr and wide receiver/kickoff returner David Reed now back healthy, McCann found himself bumped down on the depth chart.
