The Ravens have used the open spot on their 53-man roster to add depth to the offensive line, signing offensive tackle D.J. Jones from their practice squad.
Jones, who played his college ball at Nebraska, was originally signed by the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent.
He spent time on Miami's practice squad earlier this season, but was waived back in mid-October. The Ravens signed him to their practice squad two days later.
Jones checks in at 6-foot-5, 310 lbs. He fills the open roster spot created when the Ravens placed wide receiver/kick returner David Reed on injured reserve yesterday.
After promoting Jones, the Ravens filled out their practice squad by signing former Colorado wide receiver Patrick Williams.
Williams (6-foot-1, 204 lbs.) was signed by the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He has also spent time with the Seahawks.
