The new Kam

It doesn't take a rocket scientist, or a baseball scout for that matter, to see that Kam Mickolio has progressed greatly in the past year.

His delivery is much more smooth and consistent. He is free and easy and looking good.

The way he is throwing right now is encouraging to say the least. You have to give him and everybody who has worked with him over the last 11 months a lot of credit. To make even subtle changes in someone's delivery is not easy to do.

We have seen guys come and go over the past 10 years who have had an enormous upside. But, when they went back to the minors to tune up and get better, we saw the same guy over and over again. Not this time.

The way Kam threw his plus fastball and changeup last night was very encouraging. He has thrown two consecutive outings with very similar stuff and command. That's nice to see.

Let's hope he can continue to dominate at this level and add to the promise of the young pitchers the Orioles have been able to add to the organization.

Good Luck to Kam and congrats to him and the people who helped him get back here successfully.
