Nationals All-Star shortstop Cristian Guzman said he was looking forward to heading to the Bronx for the 2008 All-Star Game.
“It’s the only game that day, so everyone is watching,” he beamed after being asked about his second All-Star appearance.
Guzman’s teammates were genuinely happy for his selection. Willie Harris noted how business-like and professional Guzman has been all season. He also said he was quite impressed with Guzman’s consistency at the plate.
“He’s a quiet leader,” said Joel Hanrahan, who added that it’s common to see Cristian helping out the younger players.
