Now that was more like it!

Taking two out of three at Yankee Stadium from the bronx bombers followed by those same numbers from the Toronto Blue Jays does not make a season.

But it sure had more people talking about our ballclub than at any time this season, and I'll gladly take a four-game winning streak after what the club has gone through.

It just goes to show you what some good pitching from the Nats' solid young rotation means to that win-loss column.

Detwiler, Martis, Lannan, Stammen, and Zimmermann are getting it done.

Throw in some timely hitting (but not in game three of the Jays series) and solid work with the glove, and you've got a nice little recipe for success.

And while we're talking defense, can Willie Harris bring any more excitement to the ballpark? No one in the major leagues the past four or five games has been as big a factor covering centerfield than Willie.

It would be nice to see Zimmerman and Kearns get some contact at the plate, and Hanrahan has to find the plate more often. One thing is for certain, all three are constantly working to get back on track, and every Nats fan is thinking, why not begin with the Red Sox series? Not a bad thought.

See you at Nationals park.
