Orioles announce Kailey Adams as Coordinator of Public Relations

The Baltimore Orioles have named Kailey Adams as the club’s Coordinator of Public Relations. Adams will help to coordinate all facets of the Orioles’ public relations efforts. She will officially join the Orioles organization on October 25 and will report to Kristen Hudak, Director of Public Relations.

Her primary responsibilities will include managing credential requests; arranging interviews for players and staff; contributing to daily game notes; drafting press releases; writing for and editing team publications; coordinating press conferences and media calls; contributing to social media platforms; generating publicity for community initiatives and off-the-field efforts; and serving as a media contact for the club in Baltimore and at Spring Training in Sarasota, Fla.

The 2018 season will mark Adams’ fourth in professional baseball. Prior to joining the Orioles, Adams served as a Baseball Information Intern for two seasons with the Cleveland Indians from 2016-17 and as a Baseball Communications Intern for the Minnesota Twins in 2015. While with the Indians, she served as the organization’s main contact for media credentials and handled a variety of other communications and media relations responsibilities. Adams worked for the Indians through the postseason in both 2016 and 2017, including the 2016 World Series, and assisted Major League Baseball during the 2015 All-Star Game in Cincinnati.

Adams, 24, began her baseball career as Media Relations Assistant with Ohio University’s Athletic Department and previously worked for the Southern Ohio Copperheads in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. A native of Jackson, Mo., Adams graduated from Ohio University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a concentration in Strategic Communications and Public Relations.
