In previous blog entries, Nats GM Mike Rizzo has discussed how a trade gets put together and his thoughts on how the 2010 season has begun.
In his latest MASNsports.com blog, Rizzo sat with Nats beat writer Ben Goessling for a video segment focusing on his farm system philosophy.
Known as one of the more cautious GMs when it comes to bringing young players to the major leagues, Rizzo discussed how he formed his attitude on that topic, and why he generally chooses to be patient with a prospect before calling him up to the Nats.
Rizzo also touched on how he knows when a minor leaguer is ready to get bumped up a level, and gave his thoughts on when we might see the Nats' recent No. 1 pick, Stephen Strasburg, move up to Triple-A.
If you have a question for the Nats' GM or have an idea for where he should take his next blog entry, send in your thoughts using the comment box below.
