With his team on the field at Nats Park, general manager Mike Rizzo took a few minutes to step inside his suite and take part in his latest MASNsports.com video blog.
Mike talked with Tom Kolker about the resiliency of the Nationals, and how they’ve overcome key injuries and off-the-field incidents throughout the season.
He also touched on how struggling right fielder Jayson Werth has been able to find other ways to contribute despite his inconsistency at the plate, the strength of the NL East this season, and a few of the Nats’ 2011 draft picks that could make an impact down the road.
Finally, Mike talked about the Nats’ mindset when it comes to the trade deadline and whether he plans on being a buyer or a seller as the deadline approaches.
