So you can’t watch the Nationals’ postseason run unfold on MASN.
That doesn’t mean we’ll be going off the map until next season.
MASN will still be here for as long as the Nationals stay alive in the postseason to provide you with plenty of coverage, even though the games will be aired nationally.
For starters, tune into MASN HD the night before the Nats open the National League Division Series - whether that be Saturday or Sunday - for “Nats Xtra: Playoff Preview.” Time will be announced once playoff seeding and the early postseason schedule is determined.
Looking for more Nats-specific coverage than the networks will provide? MASN’s got just the thing.
Hour-long pregame and postgame editions of “Nats Xtra” with Johnny Holliday and Ray Knight will air before and after every postseason contest.
If that isn’t enough, there will be even more insight provided Saturday mornings at 10 a.m., as “Nats Talk Live” with Phil Wood and Mike Wallace will continue at its usual time. On top of that, there will be a special Sunday edition of the show at 10 a.m. until a special wrap-up program airs on the Sunday following the Nats’ last playoff game.
Keep tuning into MASN and checking MASNsports.com to know when and where to get your postseason fix, as most of the programming times hinge on the yet to be determined postseason schedule.
Update: Now that it’s Thursday, and there’s a little more clarity in the playoff picture, you can mark your calendars for Saturday at 7 p.m. - that’s when “Nats Xtra: Playoff Preview” will air on MASN HD (with a rebroadcast at 10 p.m.). It will be hosted by Byron Kerr and Knight.
Because the start times for the National League Division Series have yet to be determined (pending the outcome of Friday’s Cardinals-Braves wild card game), air times for the expanded, hour-long “Nats Xtra” pregame show before Sunday’s Nationals playoff opener are still TBD. Stay tuned, and we’ll update you when that information becomes available.
