Your opening day Nats-Cubs lineups

CHICAGO - Hello, Wrigley.

I’m all set up here in the press box high atop iconic Wrigley Field, and man, could there be a more perfect place for opening day 2012? (Other than Nationals Park, of course.)

This is just a fantastic setting, and while it’s a bit chilly here this morning, the sun is out in full force and it should get up to 51 degrees by gametime.

There’s a stiff 17 mph wind blowing almost directly in from center, which will help starting pitchers Stephen Strasburg and Ryan Dempster keep the ball in the park this afternoon.

One other thing that should help Strasburg keep the ball in the park is the Cubs lineup. Chicago’s starting nine is not exactly laden with studs.

Strasburg topped out at 84 pitches this spring, so it’ll be interesting to see how far manager Davey Johnson is willing to let him go today.

Here are your lineups for today’s opener:

SS Ian Desmond
2B Danny Espinosa
3B Ryan Zimmerman
1B Adam LaRoche
RF Jayson Werth
LF Mark DeRosa
CF Roger Bernadina
C Wilson Ramos
P Stephen Strasburg

RF David DeJesus
2B Darwin Barney
SS Starlin Castro
