Did you catch Jeremy Guthrie and Adam Jones live on MASNsports.com Friday afternoon?
The O's teammates joined us for a couple of live chats today, and even though their lunch hour chats are over, there's plenty to pass along.
Guthrie arrived early after biking to the Warehouse - would you have expected anything else? - and fell right in chatting with the MASNsports.com staff as we finalized our preparations for the first of today's two live chats.
During Guthrie's half hour, he answered questions ranging from "Which Orioles pitcher has a pitch you'd like to have in your arsenal?" to "What would you be doing if you weren't a professional baseball player?"
Would you guess that Guthrie said he's willing to be an intern if it gets him in with Nike? The right-hander talked of his love of shoes and his desire to work for Nike one day.
But with his ease in front of the camera, what about a career in broadcasting someday? Not out of the question, Guthrie said, but new O's manager Buck Showalter has already teased Guthrie about the idea, warning him to "keep his day job" for sure.
As the hour turned from Jeremy Guthrie to Adam Jones, the outfielder arrived with his usual casual air and unapologetic candor.
But despite the informality Jones brings to an interview, the hot topics of his bubble gum habits and positioning in the outfield were addressed with sincerity.
Adam also revealed his favorite place in Baltimore. After arriving just after the kitchen closed one night following an O's game, the manager came out and offered to make Jones a burger personally.
He's been a loyal customer ever since, and you'll often find him at The Abbey in Federal Hill late night after a game.
Finally, if you missed today's live chats entirely, you can still catch video of them in our Media Lounge.
And if that's still not enough, you can check out our photo galleries on the MASNsports.com Facebook page.
Then, before you close the book on these exclusive live chat interviews, mark your calendars for the next round with Jeremy and Adam, coming up on Friday, Sept. 3. Same time, same place. See you all here!
