By this time next week, all of baseball's movers and shakers will be settling into their Dallas hotel suites. They'll be prepping for four days of wheeling and dealing, negotiations and signings, offers and counter-offers - all bent on making their clubs better for the 2012 campaign.
The Orioles, with executive vice president Dan Duquette at the helm, will be no different. They are hoping that what's done at the Winter Meetings in Dallas - whether it's the resolution of plans hatched at the recent general managers meetings in Milwaukee, or laying the groundwork for a future move - will change the landscape of the team heading into next season.
Want to know what the O's might be planning for the Winter Meetings? Who's on their radar? Which free agents might they be interested in? Who are their likely trade partners? Who on the current club is available? Who might the O's target in the Rule 5 draft?
You've got questions, and MASNsports.com's Roch Kubatko and Steve Melewski, both of whom will be in Dallas for the Winter Meetings from Dec. 5-8, have answers. Well, some of them.
At noon on Thursday, Dec. 1, join them in a live video chat as a preview to the Winter Meetings. They will take your questions - via the chat feature on our site, the MASN Orioles Facebook page or by Twitter @masnOrioles - and give you some insights into what the O's might accomplish in Dallas and what Duquette's ever-evolving plan of attack might look like.
If you're familiar with our live video chats - we did a pair with Adam Jones and Jeremy Guthrie back in September - you know they can be spirited exchanges. That's because of you - and the interesting questions you feed to us. So start thinking about what you want to know about the Orioles' Winter Meetings plans, and join us Thursday, Dec. 1 at noon.
