You say you’ve caught pennant fever? You say you want to get together with like-minded, orange-crazy Orioles fans? You say you need to root loudly for your favorite team, even outside of Camden Yards?
Well, the O’s have you covered.
Beginning Friday, Sept. 21 and continuing through Oct. 2, the Orioles will hold a series of “BUCKle Up!” rallies around town designed to generate maximum excitement surrounding the O’s playoff push.
A “BUCKle Up” street team will travel throughout Baltimore and surrounding areas for the rest of the month and into October, rallying the faithful flock.
Orioles players will join the promo team for many of the events including Miguel Gonzalez at Ollie’s Bargain Outlet on Sept. 25; Zach Britton at Bank of America on Sept. 28; and Jake Arrieta, Brian Matusz, Nate McLouth and Chris Tillman at the BARCS animal shelter on Sept. 29.
The BUCKle Up team will be accompanied by The Oriole Bird and will give away game tickets, BUCKleUp-themed gear and other promotional items. The current list of rally dates and locations is below, but the schedule for rallies may be updated with new locations. Fans are encouraged to visit www.orioles.com/buckleup regularly for a complete schedule of events and details on throwback ticket opportunities.
