One of the most wonderful times of the year starts Friday: Social Media Weekend.
Thanks to our friends at Hair Cuttery, Social Media Weekend will begin Friday, Aug. 16. Fans will have the opportunity to win exclusive Orioles prizes and experiences. We have seen the loyalty that fans have shown us by tweeting us, interacting with us on Facebook and sharing pictures on Instagram.
And we’d like to reward you for your loyalty.
Starting Friday, we’ll be set up inside the gates of Oriole Park at Camden Yards, giving away seat upgrades, autographed memorabilia, photo sessions with players, and more!
Even if you can’t make it to any of the games against the Rockies, you still have a chance to win as we’ll be giving away prizes through our social media sites.
Check out the MASN booth on Eutaw street and you can win autographed gear by tagging your Instagram pictures with @masnOrioles and seat upgrades by mentioning @masnOrioles on Twitter. For those who can’t make it to the Yard, we have launched a Facebook sweepstakes, in which you can enter to win lunch with manager Buck Showalter.
Be sure you’re following along with us on Twitter, Facebook, mobile and Instagram. You can join the conversation by using #masnSMW on Twitter (worth 25 extra “Touch ‘Em All” Rewards points!) If you haven’t signed up for the program yet, you can do so here.
Also, be sure to sign up for MASN’s “Touch ‘Em All” Orioles Rewards. Each time you use the hashtag #masnSMW on Twitter this weekend, you earn 25 points are are automatically entered to win a meet and greet with Darren O’Day.
Social Media Weekend is proudly styled by Hair Cuttery, which is currently executing Share a Haircut to help give children in need a free haircut.
Update: After a successful kick off to social media weekend on Friday, the fun continues on Saturday. To start the weekend, we gave away seat upgrades and autographed memorabilia from Buck Showalter, Adam Jones and Darren O’Day. Today, in addition to seat upgrades and autographed giveaways, you will have the opportunity to get your picture taken with an Orioles player!
Update II: All good things must come to an end, and sadly, Social Media Weekend wraps up today. But first, let’s recap what happened yesterday. Saturday gave fans who signed up for MASN’s mobile alerts a chance to meet and take their picture with reliever Darren O’Day prior to the game. We continued to upgrade seats and swap swag for our loyal Twitter and Instagram followers.
Today is the final day to win seat upgrades and autographed memorabilia. So come out to the Yard early and stop by the MASN booth on Eutaw Street.
