It's hard to believe the first month of the baseball season has already played out - which means it's time for our first 'Where in the Yard?' winner of the 2010 season. Congrats to Jeremy from Cumberland for the sweep! Throughout the weeks in April, he racked up every point possible - plus the bonus for identifying the tougher Babe Ruth plaque to boot. So

The Orioles will announce a new scholarship program tonight at Camden Yards called "Swings for Scholars". The organization is partnering with Legg Mason Global Asset Management to launch the scholarship program designed to provide full community college scholarships to qualified grads of Baltimore City Schools. Each time O's outfielder Nick Markakis gets a hit during the 2010 season, Legg Mason Charitable Foundation Inc. will make

Today's Garrett Atkins Q&A provided a first look preview of a summer of O's events to come. Atkins arrived at the ESPN Zone shortly before noon and sat down center stage with the event's host, MASN O's broadcaster Jim Hunter. "So Roch Kubatko tells me you're the most talkative guy in the clubhouse, and you're going to make my job easy for me today," Jim

I'm headed to the ESPN Zone in Baltimore's Inner Harbor before too long for the first Orioles Q&A of the summer. If you can't make it out to meet Garrett Atkins from noon to 1:00 p.m., check back here later today for a few highlights and photos. Atkins will be answering questions from an O's broadcaster, as well as from fans, so this afternoon will

After last week's image stumped quite a few of you, I won't say this week's 'Where in the Yard?' is easy, but I hope you'll have a better time identifying this week's picture from from the Yard. The many of you who routinely prove how well you know your O's already know how it's done. But if you're joining us for the first time, take

Don't forget that new Orioles 1B Garrett Atkins will be the first in the hot seat for a Q&A at the ESPN Zone coming up soon on Wednesday, April 28 from noon to 1:00 p.m. But in addition to Atkins' appearance in Baltimore, mark your calendars for an autograph session with O's outfielder Nolan Reimold scheduled for Saturday, May 1. Reimold will sign autographs and

The Orioles, Ravens and MASN will team up again this season to offer the third annual O's Ravens Rally to be held this year at Oriole Park on Saturday, June 12. Welcome back to the Orioles Buzz and this week's 'Where in the Yard?' - And first of all, things always seem a little sweeter the morning after an Orioles' win, don't they? This week, even though the O's won't return home for another week or so, we get to return to the Yard early to test your eyes for all things Orioles. I'll even go

The ESPN Zone in Baltimore's Inner Harbor has announced its summer schedule of Orioles activities, which include monthly player Q&As, a second annual Orioles Cook-off, another Battle of the Birds, and Brian's Baseball Bash. Each of the seven player Q&As will feature a current Oriole, and each round will be hosted by an O's broadcaster. Expect to learn a little more about some of your

The Orioles honored catcher Matt Wieters last night with the first T-Shirt Tuesday of the 2010 season. I have a feeling most O's fans were pleased with the choice in Wieters for the first round of T-Shirt Tuesdays, and more than 13,000 fans turned out to pick up their Wieters tees. But if you take a look at the O's Promotions schedule, you'll see that

No matter the result in the win-loss column, did you enjoy the Orioles' home opener at Camden Yards last Friday? Was it at least good to be back in the Yard again? - That one has to be a yes. In any case, with all of you back at Oriole Park for games again, we'll find out soon if it's harder to stump you here

The home opener has brought a new energy to Baltimore. Fans are excited; there's orange and black everywhere; and the sounds of baseball are echoing through the Yard once more. Welcomes were mostly warm for this O's squad, and the enthusiasm for young Orioles like Matt Wieters and Brian Matusz showed how energized the fan base is with the emergence of so much potential in

Oriole Park at Camden Yards officially opens to O's fans at noon today, a full three hours before the start of the Birds' home opener. But if you can't wait another hour to see how things are shaping up at the Yard, check out the photo gallery on MASN's Facebook page for an early look at Eutaw Street. You'll notice a theme - lots of

You've waited a long time for the second set of standings for the Orioles Buzz weekly photo feature 'Where in the Yard?' - but those standings are finally here. It's been 11 weeks since Lauren was crowned our last winner, and we're long overdue for another. As I predicted, it was a pretty tight race near the finish line, and it came down again to

I'm sure you've noticed by now that MASNsports.com has received a face lift in the wake of the new baseball season. We've made a lot of changes - but hopefully ones that will make things easier and more enjoyable for you, the readers. Along with the new look, we've updated the system we use to publish entries, which won't mean a lot of changes to

Never has that cliché seemed as gruesome as it does when you say it in Birdland.... But in any case, you can take care of two O's items in one swoop with the new exclusive T-shirts from the Right Side Foundation. Nick and Christina Markakis's Right Side Foundation has announced a limited edition T-shirt sale to raise money for the right fielder's charitable foundation and

The Orioles have one of the most liberal food policies in professional sports. Outside food and beverages may be brought into Camden Yards, subject to the following guidelines: Soft-sided and paper bags are permitted at Oriole Park, as long as they fit into a 16" x 16" x 8" container. Hard-sided coolers, thermoses, glass bottles, cans or alcoholic beverages are not permitted into the ballpark.

This year when you head to Oriole Park, you'll still have the old stand-by options, like Boog's BBQ, Italian sausages, hot dogs, pizza, French fries, soft pretzels, ice cream, peanuts and popcorn. But now you'll also be able to enjoy the food from several local restaurants inside Camden Yards. Look for the following food items from these local restaurants: Greene Turtle: Turtle bites and sliders

You might remember this Orioles Buzz post filling you in on some maintenance going on at Camden Yards this offseason. Well, phase one of the Maryland Stadium Authority's deferred maintenance program is finished, and all the concrete and seats between the foul poles on the lower level have been replaced. The new seats have high backs and cup holders, and seats between the bases are

For their 57th season and 19th year at Oriole Park at Camden Yards (yep, 19 years have already flown by since the Yard opened in 1992), the Orioles have a full schedule of Opening Day activities planned. With Opening Day of the Orioles' 2010 season only days away, a few lucky O's fans are looking forward to getting their first glimpse of the Birds in person at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. But most Orioles fans will be here in Baltimore, or watching the game on MASN from their homes. You might have friends, family or neighbors who are big Orioles fans;

If it wasn't obvious already, O's Buzz readers are the best. I checked out MASN's Fantasy Baseball game, and so far, if I'm not mistaken, the Orioles Buzz League is one of the most popular. Was it the prizes I hinted at, or were you just happy to show your support of the O's Buzz? (It's totally okay if you're thinking, "Hmm, yea...it might have
