On another Monday off day for the O's, we take a closer look at another piece of the Yard before the Birds finish up their nine-game homestand and fly north to Boston for the weekend. This week, you'll see a familiar image, but with the text that would have given the picture's identity away removed and/or blurred out of the photo. But as usual, take

They're old and retired, but barely a few days old. You've probably seen them at the Yard and wondered if they're here to stay. They're the retired number discs dotting the upper deck in left field at Camden Yards. As part of a series of ongoing upgrades and enhancements to Oriole Park, the Orioles have fixed all six retired Orioles numbers, as well as a

A handful of you have been asking about this year's Brian's Baseball Bash - With B-Rob struggling with injuries, is the Bash still on? With the closure of the ESPN Zone, where will they hold it this year? All valid questions - that now appear to have answers. According to the Community Calendar on Orioles.com, Brian's Baseball Bash is still on and scheduled for Sunday,

With the official closing of the ESPN Zone in Baltimore, the schedule of O's events to take place there this summer has been canceled as well. The Baltimore Sun covered the restaurant's closing in an article you can read here. In the article you'll read that ESPN Zone's parent company, Walt Disney Co. made the decision to close five of the chain's seven locations recently,

There was a clear-cut winner for May's round of 'Where in the Yard?' here in the Orioles Buzz, even if I'm a little belated in announcing it. Avi M took the crown last month, truly earning his victory after hitting each answer on the head and racking up a flurry of bonus points, many of which came from posting fan photos to the MASNsports.com Facebook

On this day in 1999, Cal Ripken Jr. became the first Oriole to go 6-for-6 in a game, as the O's scored the most runs in franchise history (at that time) on their way to a 22-1 win over the Braves. Cal's six-hit game is still an Orioles single-game record, as are the five runs he scored off of his six hits in that game

You already have a quarter of the set if you got your Nolan Reimold mini bobblehead on May 26, and you'll make it one-half when you take home your Adam Jones mini bobblehead on June 24. So when you make it 3-for-4 on June 30 with the arrival of the Matt Wieters bobblehead, it'll already be a treat. But what if you could take home

Whether you still get a paper on your doorstep every morning or you check websites like this one or baltimoresun.com to get your O's news, you might have come across The Sun's daily Oriole Bird cartoon, a tradition The Sun revived to honor (or lament) each O's game of the season. They usually put a quirky spin on the opponent or outcome, but have you

Happy Draft Day everyone - As the O's prepare to make their selections in this year's First-Year Player Draft, we're back for another 'Where in the Yard?' here in the Orioles Buzz. Though this week's image (unfortunately) isn't draft related, you've probably seen them as you've made your way around the ballpark for games here at Camden Yards. So take a look at the photo

Leading up to Dave Trembley's dismissal, you probably heard every reason in the book for both sides of the coin: Trembley should be fired or he shouldn't. Now that he has been relieved of his managerial duties with the O's and Juan Samuel has been named the interim manager, O's fans chimed in (via Twitter) with their two cents on the move. Check out what

Did you catch the segment on O's Xtra yesterday that showed Luke Scott fishing with two O's fans, Greg Shute and his son Brennan? The pair of O's fans won the chance to spend a day on the Chesapeake Bay with Scott in the World Fishing Network's "Fish with Luke Scott" contest. "Any day on the water is always a good day," Scott said in
