Show and tell at NatsFest

If you're headed to NatsFest Wednesday at Nationals Park, and I hope you'll drop by the Stars & Stripes Club - on the third-base side - and check out some stuff I'll be bringing from my collection.

Those of you who are into uniforms - you know who you are - will have a chance for an up-close look at more than a dozen historic Washington uniforms. I'll have shirts from Hall of Famers Sam Rice, Bucky Harris and Ted Williams, and fan favorites Frank Howard, George Case, Camilo Pascual, Roy Sievers and Mickey Vernon, as well as some styles you may not have seen in many years. I'll also have some vintage caps, including the rare white cap from 1966-67. I'll have some other oddities and local baseball ephemera to see, so please stop by.

Don't forget to tune in for the premiere of "The Mid-Atlantic Sports Report" on Thursday, right after "Nats Xtra" postgame on MASN. It's a daily 90-minute baseball roundtable, and I promise there will be an equal amount of airtime devoted to the Nationals and Orioles, as well as to other baseball-related issues. The regular panel consists of Tom Davis, Dave Johnson, Mel Antonen and myself, and we'll have guest panelists from time to time. The Saturday show Davis, Johnson and I have done for quite some time - "Wall-to-Wall Baseball" - will continue on weekends, and I suspect you'll hear a lot more Nats talk on that show, too.

Check 'em both out.
