It's been a long wait Baltimore, but football is finally back.
The Ravens and Panthers square off in about five hours and we finally get to see this team play some real football. We finally get to see the new acquisitions on offense and how they play together. We'll get to watch the rookies play and be able to make our own opinions on who may make the squad.
There will be plenty to watch for, all the way down to the kickers. This will be the second year in a row we'll get to watch a kicking battle, and this preseason the kickers will go kick for kick. "We're going to actually alternate every kick. That's what coach [Jerry] Rosburg wants to do," John Harbaugh said. "He feels like it'll keep both those guys in the game for the whole game and give them a fair amount of reps, so we're looking forward to that."
Also, the corners are something to watch for. Right now, the Ravens CB's situation doesn't look good, but you never know if someone will step up and fill the void like Lardarius Webb did last season.
There is plenty to watch for and plenty of questions that need to be answered, but the beautiful thing is, Ravens football starts tonight.
One step closer to real action on September, 13.
