U2 set to play M&T Bank Stadium this summer

U2's 360° Tour been called "The Tour of the Year" and it's coming June 22nd to Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium.

"The Tour of the Year" has already sold out all its European dates and by the time the tour makes its way to the States over four million fans will have already seen the band this year. That says something that a band as popular as U2 would want to include Baltimore and their fans in such a popular tour. A tour that uses a cylindrical video system of interlocking LED panels, and a steel structure rising 150 feet from the floor over a massive stage with rotating bridges that truly creates an intimate 360° experience for concert goers.

Ticket prices start at $30 and range to $250, which is rather inexpensive for a band of U2's caliber and a tour that claims to be the best of the year.

"I am very excited about U2's decision to play in Baltimore as part of their 360 World Tour," said Mayor Rawlings-Blake. "I can't wait to welcome the biggest rock band in the world to the home of America's greatest football team, M&T Bank Stadium. It will be a 'Beautiful Day' for Baltimore."

U2 has always been a band that has made more money off their energy-filled live shows than their CD's and this summer Baltimore will get the chance to find out why.

Throughout their career, U2 has won 22 Grammy Awards which is more than any other band. With over 150 million records sold U2 was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility and Rolling Stone magazine ranked them at 22 in its list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time".
