The Ravens managed to get their roster trimmed down to 75 Monday without releasing another player.
The team placed four players on injured reserve, meaning they will not play with the Ravens for the rest of the season, and placed two on the reserve/physically unable to perform list.
The team placed wideout David Reed (ACL) and linebacker Terrell Suggs (Achilles tendon) on the PUP list, meaning neither will be allowed to practice until after the Ravens’ sixth game. At that point, they can practice for up to three weeks before either returning to the active roster, being placed on injured reserve or being waived.
So the significance of those two moves is it ensures that Reed and Suggs won’t be back until Week 7 at the earliest.
The four placed on injured reserve were linebackers Stevie Baggs and Darryl Blackstock, safety Emanuel Cook (broken leg) and defensive tackle Ryan McBean (broken ankle).
