Kruger out with back injury, Ravens’ other inactives

PHILADELPHIA - Linebacker Paul Kruger was optimistic he’d be able to overcome a back ailment that limited him in practice this week, but that wasn’t good enough to get him dressed for this afternoon’s game against the Eagles.

Kruger is the most prominent of the Ravens’ seven inactives. He is joined by wideout LaQuan Williams, cornerback Asa Jackson, tackle Jah Reid (leg), tight end Billy Bajema, defensive end DeAngelo Tyson and defensive tackle Bryan Hall.

Linebacker Pernell McPhee (knee) is active for the contest, but could see a diminished role after being held out of much of this week’s practice.

Inactive for the Eagles: quarterback Trent Edwards, wideout Riley Cooper, running back Dion Lewis, cornerback Curtis Marsh, tackle Dennis Kelly, offensive lineman Nate Menkin and defensive end Vinny Curry.
