Much has been made of the fact that Ray Rice's touches have been down this season.
The Ravens running back reminded everyone what he can do with the ball in his hands Sunday against the Giants, and was rewarded for it with AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors today.
Rice ran 24 times for 107 yards to go with six catches for 51 yards and a touchdown. It was his second-most yards from scrimmage in any game this season.
"It felt pretty good, and actually, coming into this week, I felt pretty good," Rice told reporters about that performance. "The thing is with me, I was fresh going into that game. I give my head coach credit - coach (John) Harbaugh took care of us. He took care of us during the week, and let us guys go out there, practice smart, and when it came to the game, we came out there ready to play."
Overall, Rice has run for 1,138 yards and nine touchdowns while adding 61 receptions for 478 yards and a score.
