Terrell Suggs out for Ravens-Redskins

LANDOVER, Md. - Terrell Suggs’ torn biceps will cause him to miss at least one game, as the Ravens’ linebacker won’t play today at FedEx Field.

This will be the first game since Suggs joined Baltimore in 2003 that both he and fellow linebacker Ray Lewis are out.

Suggs is joined on the Ravens’ inactive list by cornerback Jimmy Smith, linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, offensive lineman Ramon Harewood, wideout Deonte Thompson, tight end Ed Dickson and defensive tackle Bryan Hall.

Brendon Ayanbadejo is expected to start in Ellerbe’s place, Dennis Pitta is expected to start in Dickson’s spot and Courtney Upshaw is expected to start for Suggs.

Inactive for the Redskins today: quarterback Rex Grossman, wideout Brandon Banks, wideout Dezmon Briscoe, linebacker Roddrick Muckelroy, offensive lineman Josh LeRibeus, tackle Tom Compton and guard Adam Gettis.
