Super Bowl week has arrived

Afternoon, all. Writing to you from BWI Airport as I await my flight to New Orleans.

MASNsports.com will be on site at the Super Bowl all week to provide you with updates, insights, features and the like as the Ravens and 49ers prepare for the big game Sunday.

There will be media availability every day leading up to the contest that determines which team is the NFL's best, and we'll have you covered.

Media Day is tomorrow, and that should be a hype-filled trip as always, but should produce plentiful nuggets for your eyes throughout the day and week.

There will be lots of storylines worth watching, most of which have been covered on this blog throughout the playoff run.

You've got the Har-bowl, or the Super Bro, or Super-baugh, or whatever moniker you choose.

Future Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis will be playing his final game and will be looking to go out a champion.

Legendary Ravens tackle Jonathan Ogden and former owner Art Modell could be elected to the Hall of Fame at the end of the week.

Safety Ed Reed returns to his home state to play in his first Super Bowl, and what may be his final game. Reed said last week that he intends to return next season, but he has had a hard time making up his mind about his future in recent years. And it's also within the realm of possibility that if he does intend to retire, he might not want to steal Lewis' thunder. But on top of that, even if Reed does come back, this could prove to be his final game in a Baltimore uniform. Stay tuned.

There will be plenty more to talk about all week, and you'll be able to find your coverage here all the way through the Super Bowl and beyond.
