After losing two linebackers earlier in the day, the Ravens have come to terms on a three-year deal with former New York Giants defensive lineman Chris Canty, according to multiple reports.
ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted that the contract is worth $8 million with $2.8 million guaranteed.
Canty, a 6-foot-7, 317-pound defensive end, comes to Baltimore after spending four seasons with the Giants and four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. The 30-year-old racked up 26 tackles and three sacks in nine games last season, and has 19 sacks in 113 career games.
The Ravens are in need of a pass-rushing boost after Paul Kruger signed with the Cleveland Browns in the first hour of free agency, and Canty should provide just that.
