The Ravens have made their second trade with the Indianapolis Colts in a matter of four months, acquiring running back Delone Carter for wideout/return specialist David Reed, the team announced this afternoon.
Carter is heading into enters his third NFL season after being selected by Indianapolis in the fourth round of the 2011 draft. The 5-foot-9, 232-pound rusher has appeared in 26 games, making three starts.
He has 133 rushes for 499 yards (3.8 yards per carry) and five touchdowns, with six catches for 31 yards in his career. As a rookie in 2011, he rushed for a career-high 377 yards and two touchdowns.
The Ravens also acquired center A.Q. Shipley from the Colts in May.
